At Pioneer Memorial Church, we’re a part of the Seventh-day Adventist family — a global movement of Christians centered on Jesus, shaped by Scripture, and looking forward to His return.

It starts with Jesus
Everything we believe flows from who Jesus is. He is fully God, fully human, and the only way we are reconciled to the Father. We are saved by grace through faith in Him, not by anything we could earn. His life, death, and resurrection aren’t just events we remember; they are the foundation on which everything else is built. But how do we actually know Him?
We know Him through Scripture
We believe the Bible is God’s inspired word, where we meet Jesus and learn how He calls us to live. We don’t add to it or take from it; we simply take it seriously, even when it cuts against the grain of culture.

Which leads us to rest and obedience
One of the gifts we find in Scripture is the Sabbath. God built this gift into creation, providing a day set apart from the rush of the week to reconnect with Him, with our community, and with nature. We keep it so as not to earn anything from God, but because He gave it to us. In the same way, we hold to all of His commandments as a response of love, not as a checklist.
Where our name comes from
We rest on the Seventh day, and we watch for Christ’s advent, the Second Coming, because the same Scripture that gave us rest also tells us where history is headed.

We believe Jesus is coming back
We believe Jesus is coming back to make all things new; visibly, literally, and soon. Sin, suffering, and death will not have the final word. God will set every wrong right, and a world without pain will replace the one we know now. That hope shapes how we live — with compassion, generosity, and a desire to share this same hope with the people we meet along the way.
